Hello my fellow blog readers , As 'Jammy Media' is an independent company , finding places to release our opening sequence has certain issues such as budgeting and popularity. To help combat these issues, we have taken it upon ourselves to freely upload our opening sequence onto YouTube with monetising adverts to help create profit.

Hello my fellow blog readers, Before filming , Danny and I had spent a rather productive conversation expressing our love for the tv show 'Teen Wolf' discussing our favourite scenes , characters and even opening titles. We took to Youtube during this conversation to watch each series opening titles as to which Danny had a bright idea. The music used is the upbeat , tense, music Danny and I wanted to feature within our opening sequence. After having a short but sweet chat about using this music we found a few issues. We couldn't find a version longer than 2 minutes , the tempo was too slow for our liking and we couldn't find the composer in order to gain permission to feature it within our film.
After realising maybe this isn't the perfect music for us to use, I was reminded of a soundtrack used in the film divergent called ' run boy, run' and so far in our production stages this is the song we are hoping to use ! UPDATE:As mentioned above , me and Danny originally planned to used 'Run boy run' to go along with our opening sequence. After deciding that we both felt unhappy with the pace me and Danny searched for more intense music and stumbled across http://musickaira.weebly.com/ which is a blog dedicated for independent musicians trying to promote their music for free and free of use. We then found this drum beat that fitted perfectly with the mood and tempo of our own opening sequences. Hello my fellow blog readers, One of the many challenges I have to face during planning is the consideration of expenses. I have spoken many a time about where I am filming my opening sequence and lets just say , it's certainly not cheap ! After many polite conversations, staying and travelling down to the lodge was completely free but the food consumption and activity participation certainly wasn't... Mine and Danny's opening sequence had all of a £0 budget to spend on filming. As many A level students may agree , it is no surprise that we had little money to spend on this project which I believe , quite beneficially , lead us to be more resilient and think outside of the box for ways to achieve a high quality opening sequence. These 'outside' ideas consisted of making use of what we had around us ,as well as begging our family members to help us out under the excuse of "My A level grade is really important , please help or I'll fail" and I can safely say it worked a treat ! Now you may be thinking , how on earth did you manage to get something that should have totaled £280 for nothing ? Well I am blessed to say I received all of this for free on my 15th birthday , and it just happened to be perfect for filming our opening sequence on ! Now I would love to show you a receipt of all the food I paid for but I'd rather save you from a heart attack and eat my way into one instead... BUT ALAS , I have been blessed by the Lord McDonald's as monopoly week also fell on filming week ! And this in-fact is a more accurate representation of my McDondals receipt --> Praise the lord for free McFlurries *Click on the images to see them in full*
Hello my fellow blog readers, Inspired by a rather huge throwback of playing top trumps the other weekend , I decided to quickly whip up my very own cards! As I have finally finished my filming and will have to start the editing process very soon , I decided to create something that will help me decide on what software to edit my opening sequence on. Displayed on the cards are just a few of the Pros and cons of editing within each software Once our sequence is finally edited , I shall come back to update you on which software I decided to eventually use.. . Hello my fellow blog readers, Inspired by my last post ,joking about my failed daily vlogging attempts, I thought I'd dedicate a whole blog post to my YouTube history. As much as it pains me to do so , I'm going to delve right back into my first ever videos , but before I do , let me give you a bit of my back story. I decided to become a content creator back in summer 2013 after being inspired by creators such as Dan Howell, Phil Lester and Louise Pentland.. I think it's pretty safe to say that I had dedicated a lot of my time binge watching their content and forever dreaming of being as successful as them in the future. Let's just say I was VERY emotionally attached to these Youtubers, and at the expense of my own dignity , below are some pictures of 2013 Jasmine , proudly showing off her fan dedications... I'd now like to believe that my artistic and selfie abilities have thoroughly improved but my love for these creators certainly hasn't. Don't get me wrong , they will always have a place in my soul-less heart, but I sure do not obsess over them as much as I once did ! So with people such as Dan Howell in mind , I decided to press record on my laptops webcam and create my first ever video , cleverly named 'Hello'. At the time I had 3 random subscribers and pressing upload was a pretty big deal for me. It was edited on windows movie maker as it was the only software I could a)successfully teach myself how to use and b)it was the only free software I could find . In this video I discussed some of my favourite things at the time, such as pillows and lemons. I am now of a certain age where I can fully understand why this video wasn't as popular as I hoped it would become at the time, but who knows , maybe it was the start of a lemon and pillow loving fan base! Since then I have made a huge variety of videos , from comedy sketches with my school friends to book reviews ... You name it , I've done it !
One benefit of experimenting with my style of content has definitely been finding out what is some of my strongest and weakest work. As of today I enjoy making daily vlogs where I keep my camera in my pocket and film little clips of my life throughout the day and according to my YouTube analytics, my subscribers seem to enjoy that type of content more too.
This is what inspired me to document some of my blog posts in a 'vlogger' style as well as to film my time in Hastings with Danny , not only for my opening sequence purposes but also for entertainment purposes. Hopefully this has taught you a bit more about my time on YouTube as well as my 2013 personality. As much as I cringe at my old content , I wouldn't change it for the world , we all have to start somewhere and YouTube is just the beginning ! Hello my fellow blog readers, As you should know from my last posts , Danny and I chose to film down on Hastings beach. Before arriving I had a vivid idea of what sort of 'behind the scenes vlog' I wanted to create but after the first day , these ideas were out of the window. Due to the inconvenient swapping of SD cards , I didn't manage to get as much BHS footage as I had planned. Instead I turned this video into more of a montage of my weekend away. So I hope you enjoy! I have done many daily vlogs in the past , such as my failed attempt of 'vlogmas' (vlogging evryday until the 25 of December) 2015, I didn't even achieve a week! I still like to be positive about my vlogs ,even if they didn't go to plan , such as this Hastings vlog. I almost see my videos as an online time capsule , allowing me to look back and reminisce in detail at some of the best times with my family and friends , so spending time getting frustrated at myself for not getting the correct content , is just time wasted !
Hello fellow blog readers,
I believe some of these pictures should be left without context ... But for the smallest amount of context , here is some photos of what I got up to over the filming period. Hello my fellow blog readers,
Above me is a few photos of where I stayed during the weekend of filming. This is a lodge kept in shearbarnholidaypark.co.uk/ at the top of Hastings east cliff. My family visit this lodge quite frequently throughout half terms and summer holidays , therefore holding great memories inside and out. Right next to the lodge is a swimming pool free of use for other park members which is always relaxing to wake up and have an early swim in !
Hello my fellow blog readers , One issue I have struggled with , not just within this project but in fact my whole life , is planning with the days weather into consideration. One of the many disadvantages as to living in Britain is the spontaneity of the sky's actions . As me and Danny have planned to visit Hastings (after various texts pestering my Aunt to book out the lodge) on the 6th-8th of April , where wind and rain can become a large shooting issue, weather can really dictate our final product. By the looks of it , we have been blessed by the weather Lords and it shouldn't become such a huge filming issue ! Fingers and toes crossed... As if we aren't blessed enough already on the shooting day , if re-shoots are felt needed the weather seems to be of the same standards the following day !
